Opatija one of the most beautiful Austrian-Hungarian towns on the Croatian coast with numerous hotels does offer a few things to do when it rains. The area as a whole is actually very well known to be some of the rainiest parts of Croatia. Its meant to rain even more than London!

There are a few things you can be doing to cure your boredom including a few activities. Opatija has a bunch of history and also a few events going on. Its worth exploring this history including viewing the old Austria-Hungary tzar palace and his gardens as well as doing some quality dining with fresh fish.

Go for a walk around town
Go to a restaurant (plavi podrum in volosko is fantastic for high end dining!)
