User acquisition is one of the hardest things to do for any early stage companies. From a garage to an IPO every startup will need a way to get its first customers. When you start out you will have no money to spend on marketing and so you will have to find ways of increasing interest in your business. Start a separate blog around the business you are trying to create

Cant pay the wall street journal to advertise for you? Why dont you just create your own media company around the topic of the business you are trying to create. If your building a protein startup. Why dont you start a blog around health selecting protein as your niche.

How to do it

You can use medium or substack. (make sure your SEO settings are correctly done) and start writing about that topic. Dont sell to customers directly. Do that later or at the end of the article.

People want to read about the story

If your just selling to me i have no interest in buying your product. However if your telling me how you started the business i have more interest in what you are building and buying from you. Thats because you are now the brand.

If your building a hardware product get people interesting in the blog and get some followers then cross sell your brand at the bottom!
