What is an entrepreneur and what it takes to be one.
In order to be a good entrepreneur, there are a few things that you have to conquer. I have seen many entrepreneurs do very well and some who haven't and having been through techstars which is one of the best venture venture capitalists in the world. I understand what it takes to be a top quality entrepreneur and I want to share some of the traits that I find and have found to work with entrepreneurs.
So just to give you some context, I have exited businesses as well as being backed by the worlds. Best venture capital companies.
Being an entrepreneur is very difficult and it's not for everyone. It's for people who are determined ambitious motivated and will not take no for an answer. If there is a wall in front of you, you have to go through the wall you have to go around the wall, you have to go over the wall, but you have to find a way around that wall, you cannot let anything get in your way. This perseverance from anybody is essential to create a high-quality entrepreneur.
The first thing that a high-quality entrepreneur has is as I mentioned persistence. This means not taking no for an answer, but finding a way through the noise to be able to create growth and scale of business if something is not working or if revenue is not growing. They will find a way to pivot to make it work. They will know when to stop the business or end it.
The second thing I think all high-quality entrepreneurs have is being able to communicate communication is very important when you're dealing with investors clients customers and negotiating pilots contracts and various other things. Communication is one of the most essential traits and successful entrepreneur will have
The third trade I think an entrepreneur has the ability to sell selling is so important, which basically entails selling your business to just about everybody. You have to get customers to buy into your business to be able to sell it at all cost. You have to be able to sell it to investors. You have to be able to sell it to your partners to in order to get a high-quality team together to be able to execute, which is, of course, one of the most important things in building a high-quality Company.
Being a good entrepreneur is about being able to adapt to every situation situation. Think out of the box be creative sell, communicate and not. Take note for an answer. These are some of the key traits that every single high-quality entrepreneur will have. They will have to make quick decisions that will influence whether a company will survive or not.
May I remind you that being an entrepreneur is not for everybody if you were looking for a stable easy life stick to your day job. It is simply an unstable very risky type of thing to do and so if you have a family or you're looking after somebody else, it may not be the right thing for you.
