Now this is one of the most difficult things to do when trying to build a company but it is in fact the most important. Finding a cofounder is extremely tough and most startups fail. Its because of the team, believe it or not. Below, we have tried to give you some tips on helping to choose the right partner for your business.

This is one of the, if not THE most important thing when starting your business and there are a few things you should follow while trying to find your cofounder.

  • Find someone you can trust
  • Find someone you have already built a project with
  • Try to find a friend of a friend
  • Join an accelerator where you can find a co-founder ( but probably better to join it if you already are working with someone)

(see the article below on whether an accelerator is good for your business)

Is antler or any accelerator worth doing to start my company
Entrepreneurs do need a lot of support and it’s not easy to build a company. The antler ecosystem is great and the networking with high caliber people is top-notch. If you are looking for an experience that combines motivation top MBA compared with seasoned entrepreneurs such as myself, (feel free to add me on LinkedIn) I would suggest going for antler.

It is so important because the person you choose will essentially be part of your every day life and you may even see them more than your husband or wife so its essential to get this right.

The most common reason for the failure of a startup is the team and not money as most people think. Teams start to fight over lots of different things and it can kill the company instantly.

Its also important to try to get a founders agreement in place before you start!
