How to test a business idea. It should take 3-5 months from a Techstars alumni

Testing an idea is very important step before you go ahead and try to build a company. Having sold a business, been backed by top tier VC's and worked in finance I have a little bit of experience in thinking about how long it should really take you to prove an idea. You want to quickly start and stop the business if the idea if not working and move to the next one.

The average time frame should take around 3-6 months and the best way to do this is to go ahead and test this by creating an MVP and then creating a little bit of content around the idea. This will help to quickly see if the business is working or not.
