Does your business need an accelerator?

Having been through one of the best accelerators (Techstars) and having interviewed at YC there are a few questions to be asking yourself as to whether your business should be joining an accelerator or not. You need to think hard.

What is best?

Well thats a good question and there are benefits and neatives both. For example you will be losing equity if you do join one as well as time but there are many positives. The positive being that it may help you to suvvive. An accelerator usually comes with a cash injection too as well as a great network of people and investors. These are all things which will help you to grow and survive a difficult period.

A startup will need pilots with corporates at some point as well as money to survive. Joining an accelerator will help you to do this.

What should i do?

Personally i would try to join top ones like YC or techars. YC has backed some of the worlds biggest companies like coinbase and airbnb.
