Since there was a lot of interest in my article [antler vs entrepreneur first](https://www.founderbounty.com/antler-or-entrepreneur-first-which-is-better/) more than happy to write an article on this subject. Im a former investment banker and trader and have experience in finance as well as tech. I'm currently a VC scout. Antler now has 2 unicorns, including Aircalo and Lovable.

Dont be fooled into thinking Antler will make or break your company. It WONT. If you have a solid business go for [YC](https://www.ycombinator.com/?ref=founderbounty.com). Also don't think corporates will want you just cause you have attended a startup accelerator. They don't care and will probably still hire and Stanford MBA.

You are one of 5K founders they take yearly. You are irrelevant. Can your business produce results - this is the only thing they care about as with all of venture capital. I am a VC scout. Attend the accelerator with that in mind. Keep conversation short. Use your time to mix with investors and try to get your business capital or pilots.

Founded in Singapore in 2017 by a team of experienced entrepreneurs, investors, and company builders, Antler is a global early-stage VC enabling and investing in the world’s most exceptional people. With offices across most major startup hubs globally, Antler is passionate about supporting exceptional people to fundamentally improve the world.

Please reach out for your thoughts on Antler, its CEO and partners and help share with the community. Join the link [here](https://t.me/+VSxze4r4JCM4MzY0?ref=founderbounty.com) or Discord in our [forum](https://www.founderbounty.com/forum/)

If you are happy to do everything yourself and you can take the loneliness of pushing a company out all on your own then Antler may not be the right fit at all. Think carefully about what you are trying to achieve and what sector your in. Is it SAAS, Hardware or something else? Look for investors who can tailor your needs carefully.

> Glassdoor says around 60% of founders would recommend the accelerator.

## An accelerator will not make your company

It's you who has to do it and build it. An accelerator will help give you ideas but will NOT make a company. Some people will get luckier than others in every aspect because building a company is about being at the right place at the right time. I've seen brilliant founders out there with great ideas just at the wrong time. It is also about luck and don't forget it.

## There are benefits

Of course, the community, the support, the access to investors are all benefits!

Do you need support with your own ideas? Check out our [podcast](https://anchor.fm/founderbounty?ref=founderbounty.com) for inspiration and our [youtube](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjsYcryq7j-fSG8ThuD96aw?ref=founderbounty.com). We love good feedback so keep us posted on what you get up to.

Join ex-bankers, and technology people on Founderbounty - many of whom have actually built a company **(Not all VC's have partners that have operating experience. Top-tier VC's like Y combinator often have partners that have created and sold companies) The risk of building a company is simply to high for most people and so most people who work at VC's will simply rather take a pay check than take the risk.**

I have worked in sales trading at Lazard and sold a SAAS and been backed by top-tier VC's.

[Why do most VC’s not have startup experience. Because Building a startup is so HARD.If you look anywhere most VC’s do not have startup experience. Why is this the case. Because any true founder will tell you directly. Building a startup is certainly one of the hardest things you can do. The chance of making it is so extremely small. I have worked in finance and been through techstars. I know about both sides.![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/2b/26/2b26b1fd-73cd-4f02-8e47-30befb47b417/content/images/icon/F-3-8.png)FounderBountyVlad Kozul![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/2b/26/2b26b1fd-73cd-4f02-8e47-30befb47b417/content/images/thumbnail/pexels-tima-miroshnichenko-6913351.jpg)](https://www.founderbounty.com/why-do-most-vcs-not-have-startup-experience-because-building-a-startup-is-so-hard/)
