Having come from selling an online business, been backed by top-tier investors and worked in investment banks, I have a little bit of an idea of what it takes to date while building a business. This means working in environments like working in a corporate as well as working while trying to build a business like a startup.

Its certainly one of the hardest things to do. Your partner has to understand you and what you are going through. This can be hard to do, especially if they have not built a startup themselves. 

Not having a constant income is very hard for anyone and having one that is unstable is also hard. Tips that can help you include.
